The Museum houses many interesting pieces such as uniforms, weapons, seals, armors of every period of the Ottoman army, great field tents used by the sultans, various battle tools used from the era of the Seljuk Empire to the era of Republic and the chain stretched by the Byzantines across the entrance of the Golden Horn. It’s also possible to watch the “Ottoman Military Music” show of the Ottoman Military Mehter Band between the hours 15.00 -16.00.
The military museum is suitable for wheelchair users without a companion.
There is a disabled toilet and disabled parking lot within the museum, It is recommended to visit the museum with a companion, due to the rough cobblestones of the road.
